HAZARD INVESTIGATIONS

CASE FILE ARCHIVE

Discreet. Efficient. Mostly Legal.

Welcome to the case files of Nick Hazard, Private Investigator — 2189.

These are not stories after the fact. These are the records of the investigations themselves: clients, suspects, witnesses, surveillance footage, evidence, locations, AI analysis, unanswered questions…and occasionally a few things Nick probably should have left alone.

Some cases begin with a frightened client walking through the office door.

Others begin with a missing robot, a forgotten transit token, or a face caught for three seconds on a surveillance camera.

And some cases begin long before Nick realizes he's involved.

ACTIVE CASE

CASE 001 — THE MILO INVESTIGATION

Status: ACTIVE
Subject: Milo — Industrial Worker Model C7-411
Client: CONFIDENTIAL
Initial Payment: 500 BC
Risk Assessment: 97.8% probability of danger
Nick's Estimated Chance of Staying Out of Trouble: Not worth calculating.

What began as a routine request to locate a missing worker model quickly became something else.

Milo is running.

Two unidentified men are following him.

Someone is watching Nick.

And somewhere beneath the forgotten streets of the South Transit District, an old man with a shopping cart handed Milo a transit token and pointed toward an abandoned subway entrance.

The question is no longer simply:

Where is Milo?

The question is:

What did Milo discover that makes so many people want to find him?

INSIDE THE CASE FILE

As the investigation continues, the archive will contain:

Persons of Interest — suspects, witnesses, clients and individuals connected to the investigation.

Evidence — objects, recordings, photographs, surveillance captures and anything Nick considers important enough not to lose.

Locations — crime scenes, meeting places and the forgotten corners of 2189 where the investigation leads.

Surveillance — traffic cameras, transit feeds, security recordings and retinal captures recovered during the case.

AI Analysis — probability assessments, facial identification, database searches and observations from Nick's obsolete—but annoyingly accurate—AI partner.

Nick's Notes — theories, questions and observations that haven't made it into the official record.

ACCESS NOTICE

Some files may be incomplete.

Some information may be classified.

Some evidence may disappear.

And occasionally Nick Hazard may be completely wrong.

But that's why the case is still open.
